Privacy Policy

What we collect

The contact form (on /contact and pre-filled variants linked from other pages) collects:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Property address or lake
• Whether you’re a homeowner, dock builder, or contractor
• Which pricing tier you’re interested in (optional)
• Your message

The sample-download form (on /sample) collects your email address and whether you’re a homeowner, dock builder, or contractor, so we know who’s downloading and can follow up.

How it’s processed

Both forms are relayed by FormSubmit.co, a third-party form-to-email service. When you submit either form, FormSubmit.co receives what you entered and forwards it as an email to our inbox (johnmcgee@shoreline.design). We don’t run our own server or database to store submissions — the email is the record. FormSubmit.co’s own handling of that data in transit is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.

What it’s used for

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, put together a project quote, and send the sample drawing set to the email you provide. We don’t use it for anything beyond communicating with you about your project or your download.

We don’t sell your data

We don’t sell, rent, or trade the information you submit to any third party. It’s used only for the purposes described above.

Analytics & tracking

This site uses two free-tier analytics tools to understand how visitors use it:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — tracks page views and a handful of specific actions we’ve set up to measure: viewing the pricing page, clicking a tier’s call-to-action button, submitting the sample-download form, submitting the contact form, clicking our phone number, and reading a substantial portion of the permitting guide. GA4 collects standard web-analytics data such as your approximate location (city/region level, not a precise address), device and browser type, and which pages you visited and when. It uses cookies to distinguish returning visitors.
• Microsoft Clarity — records heatmaps and anonymized session replays (how visitors scroll, click, and move through the site) so we can see where people get stuck. Clarity respects your browser’s Do Not Track setting: if it’s enabled, Clarity never loads and no session recording happens for you.

Neither tool identifies you by name unless you’ve also filled out a form on this site — see “What we collect” above for that. Both are configured to load only when we’ve set them up with a real tracking ID, so this section describes what they do whenever they’re active.

Requesting deletion

To have your information deleted from our inbox and any records derived from it, email johnmcgee@shoreline.design and ask us to delete your submission. We’ll confirm once it’s done.
